Margaret Sells
It is with regret that I have to inform the members of the club that on Monday 21st September 2009, Margaret sadly passed away after losing her battle with cancer.
We all send our condolences to the Charlie and the family.
The funeral will take place at Weston Mill cemetery, on Friday 2nd October at 0900hrs.
Lord Mayors' Day Bottle Boats
A big thank you to Bob and June Shaw who have put in a lot of hard work to prepare and make bottle boats using basic materials to try to encourage youngsters into our hobby. They proved a big hit and sailed very well giving obvious pleasure to all who sailed them.
New Club Rescue Boat
We have recently been the lucky recipients of a new rescue boat kindly donated by Dinky Dinghies which was officially handed over during the Lord Mayors' procession. Also on the day Dennis Ridgeway, a long standing member, very kindly donated the electric outboard motor which will make rescues both easier and safer in the future. A big thank you to both parties again.
New Club Secretary
The club welcomes our new Secretary, Neil Coventry who can be contacted by using the details given on the contacts page. Many thanks to Ted Willy, for his hard work, who stands down.

Yachting winter series
Sunday 11th March 2008 saw the conclusion of the Winter series yachting with numerous club members attending throughout.
The placings were: 1st Tom Weatherby 46 points
2nd Ryan Jenkin 38 points
3rd Ron Fry 34 points
