City of Plymouth Model Boat Club

Who we are and what we do

The City of Plymouth Model Boat Club was formed in 1977 to bring together people interested in model boating. The club now has 40+ members, we cater for all aspects of model boating except I.C.

We have regular competitions including yacht racing (Fairwind class), straight running (!!) and occasional steering.

The club has the use of the pond located in city centre and a large brackish lake at Millbrook, Nr. Torpoint.

Members can sail on Sundays all year and Wednesday Evenings in the summer. If you wish to pay us a visit , please be advised to contact a commitee member as the club regularly supports various other clubs and events during the summer.
